this weekend...

I'm going to attempt sorting through my footage... and filtering out what I dont need... maybe even editing slightly... of course with the aid of illegal download... I'll probably be better off doing it in school... =/

yeah...

Monday 22 February 2010

ARGH! MY FOOT ITCHES!!!! D:

it really does... but other than that I also FINALLY have footage =3

possibly the most irritating 2 days of my entire life... i'll never get them back though... which is a shame... cause that time really could have been spent with less annoying people =3

It also doesn't help that the guy playing your zombie is also the most irritating being on earth (he makes watching the entire back catalogue of Catherine Tate sound like a good and entertaining idea), also... the fact that the guy playing the zombie... is who he is... kinda put off the rest of the cast so much that they couldn't be bothered to go... (he's that annoying)
All i can say is the week really could have gone better... HOWEVER! I did manage to get everything filmed and shall be picking up the footage in about half an hour =3 (My good buddy Frances was at an anime gathering with him this weekend)

which brings me to my next point... THE CAMERA!!!! >=[
The camera i was using... was... kinda useless... asin: the touch screen had broken when i got it =[
so we had to use the alternative... Sony Handycam... HDD recorder.... fun.
apparantly technology doesn't like me very much...
Also!: Filming with connor... something I NEVER want to do again... EVER! D=
that's all for now i guess... rant over... Just waiting to begin editing now...

Fook I hate the snow...

SO!!!

Turns out I do need that backup plan...

Basically, I'm gonna scrap most of the wakeup scene, therefore about... 80% of the script... therefore:

new plan!

Start with shot of boiling kettle in extreme close up, followed by more ECUs of breakfast including making pancakes (cracking eggs)et cetera.

During this roughly 1 minute scene (most likely less) the characters Jess and Marcus (hopefully, if he isnt going to London, if not we can manage)will be making breakfast then heading through to the living room, where a few other freindS will be playing guitar hero on the Wii

Jess will query the whereabouts of Connor (who later is discovered as a zombie and kills one of the friends)

Where the plot will develop to connor beoing missing after the poarty the night before (which will be evident in set, aka: bottles and glasses all over the place plus general mess)

But everything else is basically the same from leaving the house etc.

hopefully this should cut it...

wish me luck!

Friday 5 February 2010

hmmmmm...

It would probably help a fair bit if Kim told me wheather or not he's working during the shoot weekend... I may have to move it forward... again... thank jebus it's a half term break :3

I should work on a backup plan, shall do that over the weekend, but so far everything looks just about plausiable... yeah... :3

It's looking great actually!

If we have to scrap the sleepover plan I'll be gutted, but I know a few other good locations in the estate, including a mobile phone mast, a forest trail... or two, i've still got plenty of options... XD

I think I'll try shortening the script a tad though x] there was originally gonna be no dialogue until the zombie attack scene...

But I'm very tempted to use the generic film line: "He's dead... they killed him!"... that would blatantly go down well in terms of originality... lulz x]

Anyhew! It's friday. I'm tired... and i have a totally unrelated project to attend to on sunday... art photography and a convention vlog to direct... "DAMNIT KIVULI!!!!!!"

bye for now.

Still Alive

here's the script written for the opening sequence of "Still alive: a zombie film that will most likely never be made past the opening sequence, just to keep you guessing" XD

excuse the blandness/pointlessness of this thing, i'm not James Cameron... wait... =/

-Still Alive-

(Follow storyboard)

Jess: ‘morning Carl, Dean
Dean: Hey Jess
Carl: Good morning (after pause) Tea?
Jess: I’ll get it
(after making tea, holding cup)
Jess: you guys are up early
Dean: yeah, we could barely sleep
(Carl laughs to himself subtly)
Jess: Lulz
(mood changes)
Jess: Hey, have you guys heard from Kivuli?
Carl: No, actually, Wasn’t he staying the night too?
Jess: I thought so too… ‘til he up and left last night
Carl: Very strange, I thought he seemed a tad off last night…
Jess: he’s always off
(Jess and other characters slump onto kitchen bench and resume drinking tea)

***
Grant: Kim!
Laura: Hey Kim!
Grant: Oi! Gerrup!
Laura: wakey wakey!
Kim: ARGH! (Kim falls off sofa)

(Characters in kitchen quickly migrate to living room to investigate Kim’s scream)

(Characters begin to laugh at Kim’s misfortune as he picks himself up)

Kim: dammit you guys, I’m tired
Grant: you’re always tired, besides, our train leaves in little over an hour (checking watch/looking at clock (cutaway possible))
Kim: wait… what?
(Characters get up to go get dressed, leaving Kim sitting on living room floor still half asleep)
Kim: Hey! Wait… where’s Kivuli?

***
(Jess is calling Kivuli, staring at phone, call goes to voicemail and she hangs up, Kim enters scene)
Kim: no answer?
(Jess, after trying again, hangs up the phone)
Jess: Jebus, you’re up!
Kim: indeed.
Jess: Seriously, Kivuli isn’t picking up his phone
Laura: odd he always does
Jess: maybe he’s just asleep
Laura: or mad at us:
Jess: why’d you say that?
Grant: hey you guys, train’s leaving soon. Jess, go get ready! Now!
Jess: ‘Kay

(Jess goes upstairs, other characters walk into shot from kitchen and stand around talking while jess get’s ready dean is playing with his iPhone)

Grant: she’s gonna take ages…
Kim: indeed, when’s the next train?
Grant: 12: 09
Laura: he means the next next train
Grant: ah.
(Jess runs downstairs)
Jess: No need
Laura: did you get the Guitar Hero Control?
Jess: Yah (showing controller in hands)
Laura: then let’s go!
Jess: ALLONS-Y!

(Characters leave house through the porch and cross driveway. Dean, being distracted, separates from the group slightly by walking ahead, not paying any attention to surroundings)

(Kivuli *zombie* jumps over the short wall on the driveway, from the alleyway and attacks Dean. Characters all scream in horror as they see their friend being mauled by a zombie. During the struggle dean realises who the zombie is)

Dean: Kivuli?
(Other characters also realise who the zombie was, looking devastated. Kim takes the guitar hero remote from Jess and approaches the zombie. Kim attacks the zombie violently with the plastic guitar, killing it, but it is too late and dean has died from a wound to the throat and tearing of the skull from the zombie, causing him to bleed to death, Kim drops the guitar and remains in silent shock, staring into space)

-Cut to black-

ALLONS-Y!!!!

... DAMMIT DX

I'm ill today, (damn random headaches) luckily it's not too bad that I can't get some work done at home, I have a lot to catch up with in terms of media.

after all, my storyboard needs a total redo (it's fine in terms of plot, but there's been a change in plan as to location of filming) so I'm going to try and make the most of the time I have here at home, no stress, no annoying interruptions etc. "I'm actually going to try and get this sh*t done!" (for once(damn my lazy tendencies(Bracket in bracket, in yet another bracket, Kim... beat that ;D)))

Again I'd like to apologise for my absence from media, and school for that matter, today. Anything I've missed, let me know =]

today's checklist:

1. Re-do storyboard, and make it look awesome [ ]
2. Finish write up of synopsis [ ]
3. Write a script [ ]
4. Contact people to work out when filming may be plausible [ ]
5. Tidy room... [ ]

Cheers =]
